詩篇 9
九

1 　ああ主よ。　心の底からあなたをたたえます。　目を見はる
ばかりのお働きを、すべての人に伝えます。　2 私はうれしい
のです。神様のおかげで喜びが込み上げてきます。　あらゆる神々にまさる神様。　私はあなたをほめ歌います。
3 　敵は御前でたじろぎ、滅んでしまいます。　
4 神様は私を
弁護してくださいました。　御座から私の行為を支持し、この身の潔白を保証してくださいました。　5 神様は諸国民をしかり、
悪者を滅ぼし、その名を永久に抹殺なさいました。　6 よい
か、敵対する者ども。　おまえたちの行き着く先は、永遠の滅びだ。　主はおまえたちの町々を廃墟となさるので、その町があったことさえ、人々の記憶から消えうせるだろう。
7-8 しかし、主は永遠に生きておられます。　主は御座につき、
世界中の国々を正しくおさばきになります。　9 虐待された
人々はみな、主のもとに来ます。　主は苦しんでいる人々の隠れ家です。　10 主よ。主のあわれみを知る者はみな、お助け
を期待しているのです。　主はいまだかつて、頼って来る者をお見捨てになったことがないからです。
11 　エルサレムに住まわれる神様に、賛美の歌をささげよう。
　世界中の人に、永久に銘記すべき神様のみわざを伝えよう。　12 殺人者に報復なさるお方は、正しいさばきを求める者の
叫びに耳を貸します。苦しんで助けを求める者の祈りを、無視したりはなさいません。
13 　ああ主よ、私をあわれんでください。　私を憎む者の手に
かかって私がどんなに苦しんでいるか、目を留めてください。　主よ、死の口から私を引き出してください。　14 どうかお救いく
ださい。　そうなれば、エルサレムの門の、並み居る人々の前で、神様をたたえ、救い出された喜びを語ることができます。
15 　諸国民は、人を落とそうと掘った穴に落ち込みます。　自
分のしかけた罠にかかります。　16 主は、悪者に自業自得の
罰を与える名手です！
17 　悪者は地獄へ送り込まれます。　これが、主を忘れた国
民の運命です。　18 困っている者の窮状は、いつまでも放っ
ておかれるわけではありません。　貧しい者の願いは、いつも踏みにじられるとは限らないのです。
19 　ああ主よ、立ち上がってください。　諸国民をさばき、罰し
てください。　彼らが神様に勝ち誇ったりしませんように！　20 恐れおののかせてやってください。　諸国民に分をわきまえ
させ、取るに足りない人間にすぎないことを、思い知らせてください。


Psalm 9
To the chief Musician upon Muthlabben, A Psalm of David.

1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will
shew forth all thy marvellous works.2 I will be glad and
rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall
fall and perish at thy presence.4 For thou hast
maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.s

5 Thou hast rebuked the
heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.6 O thou enemy,
destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.s
7 But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared
his throne for judgment.8 And he shall judge the world in
righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the
oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.s
10 And they
that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion:
declare among the people his doings.12 When he
maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.s
13 Have mercy
upon me, O Lord; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:14 That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates
of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made:
in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.16 The
Lord is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.s
17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all
the nations that forget God.18 For the needy shall not
alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.19 Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let
the heathen be judged in thy sight.20 Put them in fear, O
Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.
